Performances & Workshops

We offer quality educational inclusive performances, workshops and after school clubs in all educational settings.

Performances

About our Shed Stories performance programme.

Our theatre in education programme offers a professional performance and workshop package, with a firm focus on educational values. We can tailor our work to any educational venue. We will always give guidance on relevant age ranges for performances and target Key Stages. All planning is included and performances will also include a digital resource pack for further classroom follow up activities.

What is required to book a performance?

  • A school hall or equivalent space. We appreciate that larger spaces are not always available and will adapt our work as best we can to meet your requirements.

  • 45 minutes prior to the performance commencing to set up the show.

  • 30 minutes after the performance has finished to remove our set and scenery.

  • A completed booking form, for confirmation of which package you are interested in and if you would like to include an Inclusive theatre workshop after the performance, to explore the subject matter a little deeper.

  • 10% deposit to secure your booking.

The Gingerbread Man

The play, The Gingerbread Man, follows the story of the traditional well-loved tale. Using a mixture of puppetry and live action, the gingerbread man runs away at the start of the story and meets – and is chased by – a wide range of characters before a happy ending is achieved. Throughout, there is music and audience interaction, and the audience are encouraged to think about numeracy, especially counting.

Target Age Group - EYFS, KS1, Lower KS2

Goldilocks

Goldilocks is based on the classic fairy tale, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Join Goldilocks as she enters the house of the Three Bears and eats their porridge. In this magical adventure, she even experiences a picnic on a beach, and makes a new friend along the way. Throughout, there is music and interaction, and we invite audiences to think about and experience – the sensory world.
