Past projects
Don’t take our word for it! Here’s a small sample of our past Shed Stories performances and workshops, and what our clients had to say about them.
Lowton West Primary School: The Gingerbread Man
The children in Class 1 and Class 2 had a fantastic time this week when we had a visit from the theatre company TramShed. We watched them act out our favourite story The Gingerbread Man using puppets and real characters. The children all joined in with the repeated refrains and had great fun watching the characters chase The Gingerbread Man. They even met the sly old Fox. We then enjoyed taking part in fun and educational workshops. The children had chance to meet the characters and actors, pretend to cross the river and make a Gingerbread man. Many thanks to TramShed Theatre Company for bringing this story to life, the children and staff thoroughly enjoyed it.

Bispham Endowed Primary School: Happy To Be Me & MML
At Bispham Endowed Church of England Primary School, we have worked with TramShed since September 2018. We have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and performances taught by Vicky and Natalie including a project named ‘Africa’ and ‘Happy to be Me’.
The children are engaged and excited by the experiences provided on a weekly basis by the team. The sessions are well planned and thought out and tailored to meet the needs and interests of our children.
Zac is a pleasure to deal with and his efficiency enables a constant ‘smooth running’ of operations.

St Bernadette’s Primary School: Goldilocks
The show was great, the practitioners were on time, set up with very little disruption to the other uses of the hall. The children thoroughly enjoyed the show, it was very interactive , encouraging the children to take part in the dancing and to be very vocal at times. We have a little boy who is autistic and it is the first time we have seen him so enthralled in an activity. I watched from the sides and all the children were fully engaged. The children went back to their classrooms with big smiles on their faces. The Y2 enjoyed the workshop and the teachers are going to follow up on this using the pack you provided . The number of people acting the play out was just the right number. Thank you for offering this afternoon to us. I would highly recommend it to other schools for YR and KS1
- Denise Duke, St Bernadette’s Primary School
Fleetwood High School: Money
Thank you so much to Vicky and Natalie from TramShed, who worked with massive enthusiasm with pupils from Fleetwood High school on the project funded by Regenda Homes called ‘Money’. All pupils were fully engaged from start to finish. A perfect combination of fun and hard work and the pupils had a real sense of pride and accomplishment in their performance. We have all loved having you in working with us in school and we hope we will be fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with you again.
- Julie Stotesbury, Fleetwood High School
Sir Tom Finney: Recycling
Our students at Sir Tom Finney Community High School are accustomed to working with practitioners from external agencies, but nothing could have prepared them for Vicky and Kitty. Their enthusiasm and passion for the performance that they created with our students was incredible. Vicky and Kitty worked tirelessly to bring out the best in our kids, bringing an infectious positive attitude to the whole experience for our students and getting some great performances from our students.

Blackpool Gateway Academy: The Senses
The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. It was such fun but also encouraged them to develop their communication skills in ways which meant the children didn't realise what they were empowering themselves to do. Children who are often reluctant talkers were so enthused by the performance that they were chatting away in the workshop and surprising themselves as well as staff with the contributions they were making.
- Mrs Musgrave-Haddow, Blackpool Gateway Academy
Cardinal Newman College: Diversity & Celebrating Differences
We have used external agencies for drama workshops before but I have to say, Vicky & Natalie delivered the best one by far! The students loved it and we got more out of some students than we expected, which is always a huge bonus for us. We found that TramShed had a really natural, comfortable style of delivery which was just right for our students! Their enthusiasm towards the session definitely added to our student’s enthusiasm. We would love to have them back for more fun soon!

Gold Arts Award Performance Review: Online
The performance was about internet safety with Jazz as the victim of the story. I think this was a very effective story because of the way it showed how easy people can get manipulated online, and how quickly things can go wrong and not notice it, until it’s unchangeable - Tobias Humphreys
Online was a performance about the character ‘Jazz’ and her struggles with online safety. The performance was really immersive and the ‘talk show’ style was really effective, I felt really shocked at the turn of events. The use of modern-day issues and things such as video games meant as a teenager you could almost relate to it. Overall, it was a very effective show! - Jude Ellison
The performance was pretty good actually. I loved the morals of the story and how it connected to the audience more than like an internet safety video, you could see yourselves in the characters' shoes and relate to them. I also like how in the story we had someone called Miss Campbell who played a crucial role of what a teacher would be looking out for and again it just shows how much teachers do really care about the students well-being. - Adam Clarke
(‘Online’) took the teenage character of Jazz and explored her experience of the online world and the consequences of trusting people you’ve never met. It shows how powerful the online world is to create connections and to also destroy them. It also explores the positives of the internet and the line between danger and fun. I believe that it is a very powerful performance for the target audience of KS2, KS3 and KS4 as the stats say that the majority of that age group have been online in 2021. That means that the production itself has the ability to keep children safe from exploitation and increase mindfulness of the dangers it presents. When watching it, I did feel very scared for the central character and hopeful of her journey to finding out who her true friends are. It was very immersive and the story was a great way to show how to overcome challenges as well as the power of the online world. - Daniel Campbell
Alexandra Home for the Blind: Memories Through Music
TramShed were delighted to work with the residents of AHB. All participants were living with Dementia and gained a great deal from our Memories Through Music project. By using music that took them back to their era, through a series of activities, we were able to create and encourage conversations and reflections of years gone by.
