Artistic Director - October Star of the Month

The TramShed members are working incredibly hard during our creative programme. Every week they are achieving great things and giving workshops their all to create inclusive theatre. We would like to highlight some of the wonderful achievements by giving a special award to one member every month. This also gives us a lovely opportunity to share more about our members and the important work that goes on at TramShed.

Karen Allison - Change Makers (July 2017)

This month, the Artistic Director ‘Star of the Month’ goes to Karen Allison. Karen has been a member of the Adult Company at TramShed for over 16 years and is a hugely positive presence within the group. This year, Karen is undertaking the lead role in our full cast inclusive theatre production ‘About Time’, being staged in December 2023. This is the first time Karen has taken on such a big role and is attacking rehearsals with positivity, energy, commitment and enthusiasm, which has a really beneficial effect on those around her.

Karen’s approach to team work is a joy to see and she constantly shows brilliant leadership, inclusivity and support in workshops, whether that be with members, volunteers or artistic staff. Keep up the good work Karen. We can’t wait to see you take to the stage soon!
