Outreach Projects 2017

We offer quality educational performing arts workshops in schools and community settings. The workshops are carefully planned and delivered to suit the needs of the individuals taking part. Our workshops are designed to enhance the current curriculum and will fit in with your chosen themes and topics. Our current outreach projects can be found below.

TramShed are always looking to link schools and organisations together to create a fully inclusive group and encourage community cohesion. We can deliver a workshop using participants from two locations. The Community Link Scheme is available with every outreach option and will share 50% pf the project costs.

All Arts Practitioners who deliver creative content for TramShed hold an Enhanced DBS clearance certificate, First Aid at Work certificate, Inclusive Training Certificate and Child Protection Level One. We also have British Sign Language specialists available within the team.

PSHE – (Personal, Social, Health & Education)

A series of fun, thought provoking workshops linked to PSHE topics. Through Inclusive performing arts we can encourage the participants to explore inclusion, working together, anti-bullying, confidence building, self-esteem, self-worth or sexual health awareness.

British Values

The latest of our outreach projects, British Values links in with the National Curriculum, finding an interesting and alternative way of exploring content. Within our British Values outreach, participants learn about important issues surrounding inclusion, respect, law, voting, citizenship, faith or sexuality.

Memories Through Music

TramShed’s exciting Memories through Music project works with individuals suffering from Dementia and Alzheimers. By using music taken from their era and carefully selected TramShed activities, we deliver a session which often sparks many conversational elements in which memories from years gone by are discussed and explored.

Muli Mutya, Lancashire!

This community focused outreach enables the participants to explore alternative Countries, cultures and wherever possible create cross-cultural links. Within a MML workshop we aim to include alternative music, rhythm, languages, percussion, physical theatre and drama styles to capture whatever Country the client is focusing on.
